Frequently asked questions
Your principal instrument is the main instrument you intend to use in worship. It could be your voice, drums, Keyboards, or Banjo - really any instrument you see as your primary gifting.
Secondary instrument would be either keyboards or guitar. Our approach is to equip every student with at least one of these two common instruments to a level where they could functionally lead a worship service with one of these two instruments.
So an example of both would be a voice principal with a keyboard secondary.
We have developed a curriculum of five main focus points as well as a repertoire of songs to choose from. You would locate and engage a local music teacher that can guide you through applying our five main focus points to your instrument, using any of the songs from the repertoire.
Upon completion of the five courses, there will be a jury based on a video you send of you doing the songs you select (preferrably in a live worship setting) that will be graded pass or fail. In the event of a fail grade, the student would review the notes from the jury with their local teacher and improve on those points, ultimately resubmitting their video until they pass.
